Once there was a snowman...
During the 3 hours I was gone, Tyler watched the kids. They made this great snowman. I was impressed with their creativity. They were really thinking outside the box. Cucumbers for the eyes and nose? Has this ever been done? I love the clothes pins for the ears.
Before a nap or bedtime he always has us tell a story and a song. For the past 6 months he chooses the song, "I am a Child of God" and a story about kittens getting hurt and wanting their mommy. But lately it is, "Once there was a snowman" and a story about Frosty.
It is official! Don't ya think?
During the past month he has been taking a few steps here and there. But just recently he has been able to really cover some ground. He looks like a different boy on his legs.
Ty can't figure out why walking is such a big deal to everyone lately. He says, "I can do it, look at me." Then to make us laugh he imitates Austin by falling down at the end.
To: Grandma Flake, Love: Ty
I taught Ty how to say, "Will you be my Valentine?" I was having him say it for the camera and he picked Grandma Flake as the lucky lady. When I took this video they were on a cruise to Dubai, so that is what he is talking about. They must have taught him how to saw that.

Ty meets Cosmo!
I just found this picture on the computer of another BYU basketball game we went to. We are big fans.
Park City
Every year my parents have a timeshare at the Park City Resort for a week. We spent 3 days during the week enjoying the place! On Sunday we went to temple square to attend church, which has become a tradition. In past years we have seen President Hinckley while attending that ward. We actually saw him last year just 2 weeks before he passed away.
My parents were kind enough to take our kids for a day while we stayed in Park City. Tyler's brother Cannon and his wife spent the night with us, too. Tyler's brother Troy and his friend Brooke also came up for a while Friday night and we all had a blast.
The next day Tyler and I hit the sloops. I haven't skied a full day in a long time, nor have I been without kids for that long. It was a really nice break. The whole day Tyler was nice to stick to blue runs, but on the last run of the day he convinced me to try a black with mogul. It wasn't my favorite, but it was a sense of accomplishment looking back up at the very steep hill.
That day my parents brought up Ty and Austin and we spent another night there. While Tyler, my dad, and siblings, skied the next day my mom and I took advantage of the Outlets. It just so happens that they were having their January sales. Very convenient.
The ideal skiing weather.
Some matching pajamas from the Outlets.
